Can I Still Seek Legal Representation While Courts Are Limiting Appearances?
Absolutely. The Law Offices of Jeff C. Kennedy uses advanced technologies that allow us to work remotely. Our case management system allows us to remotely access information regarding your case safely and securely.
During this period of social distancing, we can meet with clients and potential clients by phone or video conference; sign documents securely over cell phones and computers; and continue to provide our clients with access to justice from the comfort of their own home.

Are the Courts Still Open?
The Tarrant County Courts are still open, but most court appearances for anyone out of custody on bond are being rescheduled until after April 24, 2020. The Tarrant County Criminal Courts are in the process of implementing technology to conduct video and/or remote proceedings in accordance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order that every person in Texas shall avoid social gatherings in groups of more than ten people.
In accordance with the order from the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Criminal Court of Appeals, all civil, criminal and justice of the peace jury trials are suspended through May 8, 2020. However, all judges and court staff can be reached remotely by telephone and email if an essential need arises regarding your particular case.
